...when you're not sitting in line waiting to get on it.
the lions gate bridge which connects north vancouver to downtown vancouver through stanley park.
i had one picture of the bridge that i took from the stanley park side once when i had no tripod and i was just shooting it from out the window of a car, but i loved that photo, so i wanted to do the bridge justice by taking its photo properly. i'm on the north van side this time, and i believe i'm in ambleside park. it's like 4am or something stupid like that at this point and i found this little fountain-y thing and it just seemed like north van.
fyi - i rarely have to wait in line for this bridge because i don't go to north van very often, but waiting in line for it sucks and ruins it's natural beauty. i think it was (or is still) canada's longest suspension bridge and freaking beautiful at night (even better at dusk... but i'm not always lucky to take pics of it then). i'll see if i can get a decent shot from the stanley park side when they re-open the whole seawall after those stupid wind storms from last fall/winter. i want my beautiful tree-laden park back.
